The city of Rethymnon also has a large 2 km long white sand beach which has suffered a blue flag every year for sun worshipers among you will be well served.

Loutro is one of the few towns in Crete, which has barely been touched by tourism in all. In fact, the only way to enter Loutro is through daily boat trips or walking to it.
Sfakia has some amazing beaches to relax, and has become very popular area for nudists to visit because some beaches are never tread. The crystal clear waters are excellent for diving and snorkeling to remember for the proper equipment.
One of the major approaches Sfakia area must be Samaria Gorge, the 2nd largest canyon in Europe and endangered the Kri Kri goat and some rare flora and fauna. You can walk down the Samaria Gorge area throughout the summer, the Greek authorities to open the park to tourists ever summer from June to September. To walk the throat must be physically fit and accustomed to walking long and difficult terrain. Leaving Samaria Gorge has the vision Welcome Roumelli Agia, a small port and town where the ferry will bring you back to Chania.
One place will be final in a series of photographs is Gramavoussa area or Balos, this is a large island at the western end of Crete, pink sand beaches, it is difficult to get in a car, but well worth the views and photos to come home. Many people say Balos beach can compare to the Maldives or a tropical beach.
if your thinking about visiting the west of Crete, then be prepared for the incredible views, a warm welcome and Crete, of course, a very busy time separating the thousands of photographs that will take time there.
